Republican Pimp Power Struggle -or- Shock G vs Bubba Sparxxx, Part 1

The following SNL video made me chuckle. It’s a few days old but here it is in case you missed it. You know, I would have thought that SNL would have gotten some more people of color by now. That fat dude playing Michael Steele is about as ridiculous as that white dude playing Barack Obama. Seems the producers are is like: Fuck Diversity… use your imagination. Have they even had an Asian cast member on SNL?  Anyway…

What’s funny about this bit is not just that it’s true, it’s the subtlety of the truth. People either forget or they don’t realize that Rush Limbaugh has had a seat in the Republican power structure for a really long time.  The so-called vacuum in the leadership of the Republican party is a myth. It’s really a power struggle… on some pimp shit.

Sure, the Republicans are hurting badly and can’t seem to get their act together but they need to change their shit up. Michael Steele is the leader of party and while his vision and execution are laughable, they are indeed new ideas, for the Republicans, anyway. Change, if you will. Limbaugh, buttressed by a decades-strong rabid and racist following has spread his pulpit from his own talk show to the 24 hour news channels so that he can hold on to his share of power.  One of the reasons GW Bush got the votes as he did during his first coup d’etat election was that Rush Limbaugh threw his substantial weight behind him and then supported him throughout his presidency. Rush’s followers are the de facto  “base” of the Republican party.  He pimps them out to the Republicans for votes and they all in turn give him plenty of money to buy his drugs. Steele is trying to hide that base away in the attic like a crazy old aunt and in exchange for something fresh and exciting.   Steele is trying to attract some new pretty young thangs to pimp for votes and power.  But if the current  “base” continues to shrink, Limbaugh won’t have his hordes and he’ll be rendered impotent and broke.
When you boil it all down:  Michael Steele is fucking with Rush Limbaugh’s money, and you know what happens when you fuck with a pimp’s money.

If I was Barack Obama, I’d release this statement:

“Uh.. Look… I already called Michael Steele’s phony bitch-ass out and he is yet to step to me. So, fuck him. And I have a message for Rush Limbaugh:  Give it up. The country is seeing through your bullshit and soon yer little dittoheads will too. And you’re praying for my downfall? Sheeit… Keep fighting Michael Steele and I’ll be pimping you both out in Daisy Dukes and Reebok pumps. In the words of S. Carter – I got 99 problems and seriously, you are not one of them.”
